Live Streaming Trends: A Data-Driven Look at Twitch Viewership

  • I hosted a Python script using Selenium and Beautifulsoup on a Google Cloud VM to retrieve data from twitch.tv
  • Used IBM DB2 SQL database to store the data, Implemented an error-handling system with backup to retry data insertion when it fails.
  • Cleaned and analyzed the data using pandas and created visualizations using Matplotlib, Seaborn, and Plotly to communicate findings effectively. Additionally, developed a Flask application with the help of the Requests library to retrieve additional data from the streamers.
  • Maintained code version control and streamlined dependency management through Git and Pipenv.
